Ipsy Glam Bag October 2013 Review

I’m always surprised when I get my Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail, because for some reason I always forget that it’s coming. Seeing that bright pink envelope in the mailbox does brighten up my day though! I’m getting close to the end of my 1 year Ipsy Glam Bag subscription; in December I’ll have to decide if I want to renew or not. Ipsy is $10/month, and features makeup and beauty products in a fun makeup bag. In my experience, they’re more prone to doing full sized products in comparison to Birchbox, but they also have some lower-end brands like NYX that Birchbox tends to stay away from.

This month is the kind that makes me want to resubscribe, because I love almost everything that I got.

Ipsy My Glam Bag Makeup Subscription Box ReviewCoastal Scents Medium Shadow Brush | $2.49
You can never have enough spare brushes to play around with, so this was nice to receive.

I personally really dislike the makeup bag this month. I think the typography is rather ugly and the quote is a little cheesy, and I wish their design team would take a page from Birchbox, who always has really cute and clean designs for all their branding!  Ipsy My Glam Bag Makeup Subscription Box Review

 LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser | $3.00
I’m a big fan of LA Fresh and these travel packs are really handy to have around. I’m always thrilled to see one of these in any of my boxes!

Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel | $3.00
I haven’t actually tried this yet, but I have the Sexy Hair hairspray that works really well, so I’m hoping this product will be just as good. It has good reviews on Amazon, so I’m excited to start using it.

Ipsy My Glam Bag Makeup Subscription Box ReviewZoya Nail Polish in Neve | $8.00
My favorite item in this bag! I love the deep sapphire blue metallic, and Zoya is probably my favorite brand of nail polish out there. I think they have the best colors and consistently amazing formula.

Bella Terra Mineral Shimmer | $14.99
I received the color “Emotion”, which is a medium violet shade. I actually love how purples look on me, so I lucked out with this one! The color looks similar to Last Call from Urban Decay.

Ipsy My Glam Bag Makeup Subscription Box ReviewA better picture that shows off the color. Gorgeous!!

Ipsy My Glam Bag Makeup Subscription Box ReviewOverall the bag has a value of $31.48, which makes me more than happy. If November’s bag is just as good, I’ll probably end up re-subscribing for another year.

As always, all views in this review are the opinion of the author. Nothing was received in exchange for a review, and I am not affiliated with Ipsy Glam Bag.
