GlossyBox October 2013 Review

I got my October GlossyBox on Halloween, which is super late but that’s probably because I signed up for it after they released all the items. I had a 6 month subscription to GlossyBox a while back but between Birchbox, Ipsy, and Sample Society, I ended up with too much makeup and didn’t resubscribe. However, October’s box was simply too good to pass up!

GlossyBox is $21/month, and each box contains five luxury beauty products. They usually have a good amount of full-sized products as well as the usual deluxe-sized samples. October’s box was a collaboration with Byrdie, and they did an amazing job. Oh, and GlossyBox has some of the most adorable packaging!

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie ReviewSeriously, it feels like opening a carefully wrapped gift! I already have plans to gift some subscriptions to friends for the holidays.

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie ReviewI got an extra item in this box as a bonus for signing up, so I had a very full box this month!

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie ReviewThis was my bonus item, a full sized Bodyography Every Finish Powder in Blush. It was very generous of GlossyBox to send this because it retails for $30! I’m sure I’ll get a ton of use out of this, I love how sheer it is.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes Mascara | $23.00 (FULL SIZE)
The reason I subscribed was for this item, because I was about to buy it from Sephora anyways. Seeing as how the mascara costs more than a GlossyBox, it just made sense! Plus now I have all these other goodies in addition to the mascara! I seriously love almost everything that Tarte makes, and this is my go-to mascara for travel. It’s great for making me look more awake with lots of volume, and to prevent smudging I usually top it with a waterproof topcoat.

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie Review TarteFresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream 0.5 oz | $12.00
I already use this face cream and love it, so getting a cute travel sized one was perfect. I’m so happy to see two of my favorite brands featured in the same GlossBox! Fresh makes some amazing products (I highly recommend their Sake Bath Soak!), and they also have stunning packaging. Even this travel sized jar feels luxurious!

Balance Me Shine On Tinted Lip Salve in Super Soft Beige | $16.50 (FULL SIZE)
Not sticky at all and super sheer, which I love. I also am impressed they sent out the full size for this!

Sesha Renu Exfoliating Gel 20 mL | $14.00
I love this product! I’m so glad my box included this; I just might have to buy a full sized one. It’s very gentle on the skin, unlike some exfoliating gels that I have used before that feel like rubbing sand directly onto my face. I can’t say enough good things about this!

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie ReviewBulgari Eau Parfume Soap in Au the Blanc 1.76 oz | $8.00
When I saw that everyone was getting the cologne, I wasn’t very excited. However, I figured the rest of the box was so great that this one item didn’t matter. I was so surprised to see that I got this soap instead! I love the soft white tea fragrance, and it really fills my entire bathroom with a clean and light scent. I’ll definitely be buying more once this bar is used up!

GlossyBox October 2013 with Brydie Review BulgariThis box has a value of $73.50, which is fantastic. Two full sized products! I love everything that I received, and will be purchasing full sized versions of the exfoliating gel and Bulgari soap. This was an amazing start to my subscription with GlossyBox, and I’m looking forward to my November one!
