Nina Garcia Quarterly Co. November 2013 Box Review

I was so nervous that my box got lost, but it turns out my leasing office was holding onto it and forgot to contact me. This is the first Nina Garcia box with Quarterly, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Well, I knew to expect tasteful fashion accessories but the styling and everything else was up in the air.

Quarterly is a service that offers subscriptions curated by influential and inspirational people in various fields and specialties. I love the wide range they cover! Each box ships once every 3 months, and depending on who your curator is, each shipment is $25, $50, or $100. Nina’s box is $100 per shipment, which is quite pricey! But judging from this first box, I predict that it will be totally worth it.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box Review

I love this long letter from Nina that came with the box. I’m so impressed with how thoughtfully curated this entire box is! The theme for this box is Glam Grunge.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewFirst up, an exclusive item from Baublebar!

Baublebar Leather Dual Cone Cuff | $32.00
It was made exclusively for this box, so it’s hard to put a price on it. I’m guessing $32 based on similar products from Baublebar? I love that you can’t buy this product anywhere else! It’s pretty good quality and I like how there are 3 sets of buttons for size adjustment.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewAdrienne Landau Faux Fur Stole | $40.00
This is yet another exclusive to the box! Again, I’m basing the prices off of existing products that are very similar. Adrienne Landau is such a luxury brand, and this is a great piece to have for winter!

Vbeaute It Kit Anti-Aging Skin Care System | $99.00
Wow, this is an awesome kit. Sorry this picture is so lame, but I’m planning to gift this set and didn’t want to open it. The packaging is gorgeous and it has great reviews, I’m just not in the right age demographic for anti-aging products yet. Oh, and I’m totally thrilled that the containers are refillable, so this travel kit can be used over and over again.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewJack Vartanian Ear Cuff | $40.00
I’m totally guessing on the value here, since this brand doesn’t even carry similar products. Most of his stuff is thousands of dollars, so I don’t know how to ballpark this one. This dainty ear cuff is very well made and easy to wear, and I can’t wait to use it!

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewA better shot of just the ear cuff. Super edgy, but cute!

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewEssie Nail Polish in Shearling Darling | $8.50
A lovely dark red color! I’m not too into dark colors like this, so I will be gifting it to someone who loves Essie and rich colors.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewToo Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in Loganberry | $21.00
I love these lip creams from Too Faced, but this color is too dark for me. Again, I’ll be passing it along to a friend. These are seriously amazing though: great color and super creamy soft texture. Plus, the packaging is to die for!

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewMarie Claire December 2013 Issue | $3.99
I don’t subscribe to many magazines anymore, so I’m glad to get this. I’ll probably bring it with me on flights.

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewPearl+ Bar Soap | $6.00
I never say no to a detox soap with charcoal in it! This one also has crushed pearl, which sounds really intriguing. I think it’s pretty amazing that Nina was able to effortlessly integrate a bar of soap into a Glam Grunge box. The packaging is the perfect aesthetic!

Nina Garcia Quarterly Box ReviewI paid $100 for this box, and received approximately $250.49 worth of stuff. Wow! I’m beyond pleased. Even though a lot of these products aren’t exactly my style, they will be fun to incorporate into my outfits. Not to mention, the reason I got this subscription in the first place was to branch out and try some new things. I’m definitely excited to see what will be in the next box!

As always, all views in this post are the opinion of the author. I am not affiliated with Quarterly Co. or Nina Garcia in any way.
