Bespoke Post December 2013 Box: Agave

I really love Bespoke Post, and it’s definitely my boyfriend’s favorite subscription. It’s one of the few boxes out there for men that doesn’t have a heavy emphasis on grooming products! They also have a lot of cool things for the home and lifestyle products, making the boxes pretty gender neutral. I really like that I can preview everything in the box and skip the month if I don’t like what I see. I never have regrets once it arrives, since I already knew exactly what I was getting into. The box is $45/month, which is pricey but I think it’s totally worth it. If you’re interested in trying, you can take 25% off with promo code WINGMAN!

This month the theme is Agave, which focuses on mixing up the perfect cocktail. I love the theme, especially for Christmas (the box is guaranteed to arrive by Christmas)! Awesome cocktails are essential to holiday parties, so this would be great for anyone who wants to start getting the basic tools for their bar! Unfortunately we already have most of these items, so we’ll be passing on this box. I’m considering getting one as a gift for my friend, though. They will also make awesome housewarming or hostess presents!

Contents of the December box:

Boston Shaker

This classic tool lets you shake and swill. One part tin, one part glass, you’ll be crafting the perfect drinks in no time.

Round Ice Ball Tray, Cocktail Kingdom ($6.95)

Ice spheres have a smaller surface area than classic cubes. The slower melt keeps drinks cold with less dilution. Plus, they look really sweet.

Juicer, Cocktail Kingdom ($16.95)

This hinge gets more juice out of every squeeze, which means less time preparing and more time drinking. If it’s too early for the sauce, make some fresh juice after your morning run.

Julep Strainer, Cocktail Kingdom ($10.95)

The most versatile of all strainers, the julep can be used with tin or glass and doubles as an ice scoop. Either way, it keeps out the unwanted.

Jigger, Cocktail Kingdom ($6.95)

One ounce on top, two on the bottom, and brushed stainless steel all around – you’ll get your measurements right so your cocktail doesn’t go wrong.

Bonus: Don Julio rocks glasses & recipes, Don Julio

Premium tequila is our new go-to. The fine folks at Don Julio provided these heavy-bottomed rocks glasses with their insignia on the base.

It was hard to get a value for this box, since I’m unsure what brand the Boston Shaker will be, and that’s going to be the big ticket item. But knowing Bespoke, I’m very confident that all the items are going to be great quality. I really can’t wait to see what’s in store for January, since I haven’t gotten a box since October and am having serious subscription withdrawal symptoms 🙂
