New Julep Skipping Policy

I’m not sure when Julep changed their skipping policy (I’m guessing around mid December?), but this is the first I’ve heard about it. Thanks to Karen for pointing it out to me!

Mavens who signed up after December 18th, 2013 will earn one skip every 6 months. If you were a Maven before December 18th, you are ‘grandmothered’ in to the original terms with no changes to your skip options.

I understand why they started this new policy, even though I don’t like it. But I think they should definitely make online cancellation possible with this new skip policy in place. I hate having to call to cancel a subscription, and if I weren’t already a Maven I think the hassle of canceling would potentially turn me away. We’re in the year 2014, online cancellation should be a given! So many other subscription companies already have it, it just makes sense!

With that being said, I still love Julep and think they’re a great company with amazing products. I’m just disappointed that they’re making these changes that (I think) will ultimately result in a lot more membership cancellations.

  1. Agreed! I love having the option to “skip” when I am on Nailpolish overload! So glad I fall into the grandfathered category. They are making it harder for me to reccomend thier boxes to friends! (Even though I adore Julep) They should reconsider this!

  2. Absolute agreement. This is going to lead to a lot of cancellations and it’s so frustrating for me because I recommended it to some friends with the spiel of “and you can skip whenever you like”–I feel really bad now.
