Julep Gift With Purchase Promo Code!

I always love it when Julep puts out great gift-with-purchase codes, since they almost always work with their sale items. This time, the free gift is an awesome 3 piece set valued at $60! Just add this Shine All Year Set to your cart, then add at least $30 worth of products, and then apply the code SHINE and the Shine All Year Set ($60) is free!

I went ahead and bought Malala, an awesome dusty pink mauve crème, and 100% of proceeds will benefit The Malala Fund. I also picked up Aretha (the Aquamarine birthstone color for March) and Evie and Reiko from the Savvy Deals section for only $6.99 each! If Julep releases a mystery box in time, I’ll probably grab one of those to get another free gift too 🙂

POPSUGAR Must Have Promo Code: $10 Off for April 2014!

Woohoo, another promo code for POPSUGAR Must Have this month! Use code APRIL10 to save $10 off your first POPSUGAR Must Have box! I highly recommend this box, it’s definitely my favorite one out of all the subscriptions I get. Since they’ve been releasing these codes each month since February now, I would probably recommend doing the month-to-month plan since it’s affordable and there’s no commitment. Seriously, for $30 you should try it at least once 🙂

Check out my review for the March box here!

Julep Maven April 2014 Vivid Collection Released

It’s that time of the month again: Julep Maven selection! If you’re subscribed to Julep don’t forget to log in and select which box you want. You have until the 24th to make a decision.

This month features The Vivid Collection. I’m sort of sad that the colors are such brights, since we had bright colors in March and I’m dying for some pastels again! I was really hoping for soft colors for April/Easter/Spring. Oh well, this is still a pretty cool collection. It’s definitely a unique, I haven’t seen Julep do neons like this before.

Julep Maven April 2014 Vivid Collection Released

I’m not particularly interested in such bright colors, so I might skip this month. I actually really want the makeup brushes, but I’ll just wait for them to go on sale in the regular store. I think Kayla (the purple from Bombshell) and Maren (the pink from It Girl) are pretty colors, but then of course they aren’t in the same box. Overall it was a pretty ‘meh’ collection for me, though I do think they have some great colors…just not ones I can pull off. It looks like the girls on Facebook are happy though! What do you think?

For anyone interested in signing up for Julep Maven (I highly recommend it!) you can use code FREEBOX to get your first month free. You won’t be able to get April colors for your first box, but it’s a great way to figure out if you like the formula and you can get the May collection if you like it (I’m keeping my fingers crossed for pastels and neutrals! We’re long overdue!).

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 Review

I’m not really sure what’s up with POPSUGAR this month, it seems that some people got their boxes a while ago and others still haven’t received a shipment notification yet! I actually bought two boxes this month and just received the first one, and my other box hasn’t shipped. Despite the shipping problems that are super uncharacteristic for POPSUGAR, this turned out to be one of my favorite POPSUGAR Must Have boxes yet! I’m so glad I bought another one to gift!

POPSUGAR Must Have is a subscription service that sends a variety of items for women that are curated by the POPSUGAR editors. Items typically include food, beauty, home, among other miscellaneous things. Each month is $39.99/month, and you can use the code REFER5 to get $5 off your first box! It’s hands down my favorite subscription thus far. Check out last month’s review here!

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewPOPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 Review

First look! I was actually a little concerned at first when I picked up the box, because it’s super light and the items were rattling around a lot. As it turns out, good things come in small (and light) packages!

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewNature’s Bakery Whole Wheat Strawberry Fig Bar | $0.63
If I get another one of these fig bars in some sort of subscription box, I might scream! I actually like them too, they’re really quite tasty. But I’ve just gotten them too many times, plus we already buy them in boxes from Costco! At least this strawberry flavor is new to me.

Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps Lightly Salted | $2.18
Oh my gosh, this is my new favorite snack. I recognize their old packaging, which I never wanted to pick up and try since I don’t like peas. But I’m loving their redesign and I’m loving the snack! The texture is similar to Cheetos, but it’s baked and not fried. I’ve already purchased a box off of Amazon.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewActive Forever Mini 7.5″ Fitness Fusion Ball | $9.95
At first I had no idea what this thing was, but when I realized it was a mini fitness ball, I was really happy. A small fitness ball has been on my to-buy list for the longest time, so I’m glad to get one through a box. It comes with a straw to inflate, but I found that I could inflate it better without the straw. Overall it’s just a basic ball that’s helpful for pilates and ab workouts, no frills.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewFully inflated with my iPhone next to it for size comparison. The crease marks on the ball went away after a day, and the stopper has held the air in just fine through a light workout.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewBrokedown Blue Ikat Scarf | $72.00
This was the item they revealed, and I love it even more in person. The scarf is pretty long, which makes it great for tying in all different ways. The material is thin and soft, so it is perfect for Spring. The blue color is vivid but not crazy bright, and I love how it’s going to match so many of my outfits perfectly! It turns out this is an item made exclusively for POPSUGAR, but they have another scarf in their new collection that has a similar shade of blue. It’s always fun to get exclusive items through subscriptions!

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewJurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum | $27.00
Not a full sized item, but the size is big enough to get many uses out of it to see if it works for you. I hate getting foil samples for skincare; it’s impossible to decide anything with just a one-time supply. So far I’m really loving this serum. The floral smell is lovely, not overpowering and it absorbs really quickly and feels light on the skin. I’ve never tried Jurlique before and now I want to get some more of their products! I think sending a serum for Spring makes a lot of sense, since people are switching up their skincare routines right now. I definitely appreciate it, I was on the market for a serum!

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewDogeared Lucky Horseshoe Gold Necklace | $30.00
I love Dogeared jewelry, so pretty much anything from them was a good sign. I was a tiny bit disappointed to see that this is on a silk cord instead of a chain, but the concept is kind of adorable. You’re supposed to wear the necklace until it breaks, at which time your wish is ready to come true. Knowing these silk cords, it won’t break for a while. They are surprisingly sturdy! I wore this to the big rodeo that’s in town right now and it was just perfect. I actually enjoy the silk cord more than I thought I would, since I’ve been wearing it in the shower without worry.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewBaublebar Elephant Ring Tree | $12.00
Too cute!! I didn’t have a ring tree and was actually looking at a couple on Urban Outfitters, but this is perfect. It’s also really adorable by itself, so it works as a decorative piece for those who don’t wear rings. Baublebar sells a whole series of these, with other animal figures including a cat, a rabbit, a poodle, and a squirrel. I’m thinking I’ll definitely buy some more with the 20% off code that came with the box.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewJust look at how precious this little thing is! I’m so glad POPSUGAR included it, it’s already my favorite thing on my nightstand now.

POPSUGAR Must Have March 2014 ReviewWow! It’s definitely one of my favorite boxes from POPSUGAR ever, and POPSUGAR Must Have is one of my favorite subscriptions ever. The total value for this box is $153.76, which is super high! Especially since they released that $10 off code, so a lot of people got this box for $30. I’m very pleased with this box, and love most of the items in it. I’ll definitely use everything. I’m already thinking about the April box now, and hoping for one that’s really good, though I know it will be hard to top this one for me. What did you think? It sounds like most people are pleased with March, though of course you still can’t please everyone. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Julep Maven April 2014 Sneak Peek!

Julep Maven has released a sneak peek of the nail colors for next month’s box. I don’t know what style profile this is, but I’m going to guess Boho Glam? I could never pull off that green, but the purple is cute and I like the boldness. Too bad these don’t seem like full coverage colors, judging by the tips. I’m hoping it’s not full of neons for April, I could really use some soft colors for Spring! Something tells me I’ll be doing Classic with a Twist this month. I’d also love to see what the beauty product is, since that usually helps the decision-making process a lot. I’m guessing there’s going to be another reveal tomorrow!

If you sign up for Julep Maven (I highly recommend it!), you can always use code FREEBOX to get your first month free.

Julep Maven April 2014 Sneak PeekEDIT 03/19/2014: The 2nd sneak peek is blush and bronzer! I’m not very excited, since I already have my go-to blush and just got the awesome new Hourglass Ambient Light one. And I have sooo much bronzer from various makeup subscriptions that I’ll probably never get through. Oh well, maybe I’ll be doing It Girl this month? I guess we’ll see tomorrow!
