It’s that time of the month again: Julep Maven selection! If you’re subscribed to Julep don’t forget to log in and select which box you want. You have until the 24th to make a decision.
This month features The Vivid Collection. I’m sort of sad that the colors are such brights, since we had bright colors in March and I’m dying for some pastels again! I was really hoping for soft colors for April/Easter/Spring. Oh well, this is still a pretty cool collection. It’s definitely a unique, I haven’t seen Julep do neons like this before.
Flora: Exotic dragon fruit with blue shimmer
Bailey: Hyped cobalt sheer
Maren: Electric bubblegum sheer with blue sheen
Glow Blush: Peach Bellini
Glow Bronzer: Light Golden Bronze (customizable)
Featured Add-On #1:
Julep Blush Brush: Designed for specific use with Glow Blush, the angled-bristle design hugs the contours of your face—a natural pairing for a beautiful finish.
Julep Bronzer Brush: Our comfortable, weighted handle and unique tulip shape evenly pick up & distribute bronzer for a natural, sun-kissed glow.
I’m not particularly interested in such bright colors, so I might skip this month. I actually really want the makeup brushes, but I’ll just wait for them to go on sale in the regular store. I think Kayla (the purple from Bombshell) and Maren (the pink from It Girl) are pretty colors, but then of course they aren’t in the same box. Overall it was a pretty ‘meh’ collection for me, though I do think they have some great colors…just not ones I can pull off. It looks like the girls on Facebook are happy though! What do you think?
For anyone interested in signing up for Julep Maven (I highly recommend it!) you can use code FREEBOX to get your first month free. You won’t be able to get April colors for your first box, but it’s a great way to figure out if you like the formula and you can get the May collection if you like it (I’m keeping my fingers crossed for pastels and neutrals! We’re long overdue!).
