Try Escape Monthly for $26!

I used to subscribe to Escape Monthly, a destination inspired subscription of “luxury products to help you relax and renew”. Each month they pick a destination and send you a box of spa items and gourmet food products from that particular place. I had a really great time getting these little faux-getaways, but stopped my subscription in March because of how expensive the box is ($49.95/month without a code, or $39.99/month with their 20% code). But I really did enjoy all my boxes and have been thinking of re-subscribing.

So of course, with perfect timing, I get a LivingSocial email about their current promotion: get one month for $29.00 or 3 months for $97.00. I’m not sure who designed the pricing for that, since 29 x 3 = 87 so I don’t know what the incentive to get 3 months is, but the one month is definitely a good deal. Use promo code EXTRA10 to get an additional 10% off your purchase! That brings your total down to $26.00 for a 1 month subscription! It’s such a good deal that I immediately bought one and another one as a gift (to myself). The vouchers don’t expire until November, so I’m going to hold off for a destination I really want. Fingers crossed for a Japan escape on the horizon!

And just a heads up, the next destination is Puerto Rico!

  1. How does that work when you gift it to yourself? Do you use a different email address? I bought one and ordered it (thinking I’d get Paris but unfortunately that was sold out and I’m getting Puerto Rico) but it made me enter CC info so I feel like it’ll start charging me monthly

    • You can either get a gift voucher to print out or use a different email address. If you’re worried about them charging monthly (I’m always so paranoid about that!) take a screenshot of the LivingSocial deal. In the bottom fine print it clearly states that it will NOT autorenew. If they do attempt to charge you monthly, you’ll have evidence that they weren’t allowed to and issue a chargeback with your credit card.
