Already March? I say this every month, but time just really flew by didn’t it? BarkBox usually ships later in the month so I received this box a few days ago. The theme for February is Mardi Gras. Super cute! Extra fun since we’re actually so close to New Orleans and have been there a handful of times. Seriously an amazing place, one of my favorite cities!
BarkBox is $29/month if you do the month-to-month plan, but it goes down to only $18/month if you sign up for the whole year! We sprung for the whole year since it was such a great deal. Before getting BarkBox we were probably dropping between $30 to $50 a month at pet stores, and now one box usually lasts us through the month. You can use my link for 10% off any subscription. And if you use my link, they’ll donate a free box to the Bark-N-Rest Retirement Center! It’s a great cause and I’m pleased that BarkBox gives back to the doggie community!
You can choose different sizes when you order, and we get the Large box (for dogs over 50 lbs). Even though Maddie is usually around 46ish lbs, she has the energy and strength of a much larger dog so we always size up for toys.
New Angle Pet Junior Gulpy | $9.00
I’ve been looking for a new portable water solution for my dog, since I’m getting tired of lugging her actual water bowl around everywhere. I was soo thrilled to see this in my box. I only wish I had received the larger 20 oz size! 10 oz is definitely not enough for a dog the size of Maddie. I’ve already gone ahead and purchased the larger size since this bottle worked so well. The price for this junior gulpy seems to vary online, and $9 looks like about the average price.
It’s a really smart design. The plastic scoop part flips down and you squeeze the bottle to release water into it. When the scoop is up, the bottle is completely leakproof. Despite the small size of the bottle and scoop, Maddie was able to drink from this with no comfort problems. I would highly recommend trying this water bottle!
Etta Says Duck Chew | $3.00
Barkbox sends a chew treat with every box, which I appreciate. You just can’t have enough chew treats on hand, especially if you’ve got a dog that can chomp her way through these in about a minute. As always, no fillers, colors, or preservatives and made in the USA.
Etta Says Chicken Pot Pie Little Bitz | $9.00
Perfect for training, these tiny treats are ideal for Maddie (currently undergoing some training sessions!). She really likes these and the bag is very generously sized, so it should last us a decent amount of time. Just like with all other Etta Says products, it’s grain-free, no artificial fillers, no coloring, made in the USA.
Delca Jester Ball | $9.00
Omg this is so adorable! I can’t stress enough how much I love the themes that Barkbox uses. They always have the most adorable toys! This was instantly super loved by Maddie since it involves a squeaky ball. The jester hat makes it easy for her to toss and catch, so I anticipate this will become a favorite of hers. I’m already going to buy a backup for when this one inevitably gets shredded.
Look at that monster go.
PetSafe Catfish Po’ Boy with Chicken | $7.00
We’ve received treats from this brand before and they were a big hit with Maddie. I like that there are no by-products and it’s made from 100% USA grown chicken and catfish. I’m also really loving that Barkbox was able to source a Mardi Gras themed treat!
Verdict for February: another great month with a fun theme! Out of all the pet subscriptions out there, I’m convinced that Barkbox is at the top of the game. The value for this box is $37.00, which is pretty standard for Barkbox. Like I said earlier, you really get bang for your buck is you spring for the whole year: only $18/month. We’ve always been more than happy with our boxes and eagerly look forward to the next month!
