Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample Options

Birchbox box design have really been on a roll lately. I can’t remember the last time I got a regular plain brown box! This month’s collaboration was with Cupcakes and Cashmere by Emily Schuman, and the box is (expectedly) stunning. I love the colors and the gold foil and the simple pattern!

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsToo pretty! It’s been such an amazing Spring season with the Birchbox design team, they’ve really hit it out of the ballpark.

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsBenefit The POREfessional | $4.23
I already use this stuff pretty religiously, so this is just another convenient travel size for me. I’ll never say no to more of my favorite products! If you haven’t tried POREfessional yet I would recommend it for people with large pores like me. It sort of fills them in and makes it way less noticeable, and has good staying power. Even in Houston’s humidity, this stuff stays put!

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsNaobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturizing | $14.17
Impressed by the size of this sample! More than half the full sized one. I’ve never tried anything from this brand before, but I like their minimalistic brand a lot and I am trying to get into more natural ingredient-conscious products lately. This is a really light moisturizer that absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel greasy at all.

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsMarcelle Clay Mask | $2.23
I’m surprised the full sized version of this mask is only $15! Maybe I’ve just gotten too used to the pricey stuff, but doesn’t $15 sound like a total steal? It doesn’t have quite the dramatic results of GlamGlow or other masks I’ve tried recently, but I imagine this is one that you would use more often since it’s less harsh. My skin definitely felt soft and clean afterwards!

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsLaura Geller Color Drenched Lip Gloss in Pink Lemonade | $6.33
Lip gloss is never something I’m all that excited about receiving, mostly because I’m more of a stain sort of girl, you feel me? I got the shade “Pink Lemonade”, which is sort of a frosted bubblegum pink. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look very good on me, so this sample is a miss.

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsAmika Perk Up Dry Shampoo | $3.00
I really like Amika’s dry shampoo, and even though I have SO much dry shampoo, I enjoy receiving ones that I know work with my hair and smell amazing. Seriously, how does all Amika stuff smell so good? I

Birchbox May 2015 Review plus June 2015 Sample OptionsThe overall value for May is $29.96, which is a little on the low side for Birchbox. Nonetheless, I’m pleased with the items that I did receive. I’ll use everything except the lip gloss and the moisturizer will last me for a long time.

Now on to June’s sample choices!
