POPSUGAR Must Have February 2016 Box Review

I just posted about February’s spoilers a couple days ago, so I definitely wasn’t expecting my box to land on the doorstep today! Way to go, POPSUGAR shipping team! They promised to deliver before Valentine’s Day and they certainly stuck by that promise.

POPSUGAR Must Have is a subscription service that sends a variety of items for women that are curated by the POPSUGAR editors. Items typically include food, beauty, home, among other miscellaneous things. Each month is $39.99/month, but you can use the code REFER5 to get $5 off your first month. It’s hands down my favorite subscription thus far, and consistently has a great cost to value ratio. Almost every month the value of the box is more than $100.

I’m kind of obsessed with this February box! I love the Valentine’s Day theme and I think it’s so cute that they even did a heart pattern on the tissue paper. I’m all about the little details.

JewelryStorm Endless Arrow Ring | $28.00
First of all, I love the packaging. Even though it’s not an expensive piece of jewelry, the box makes it very easy to gift and makes it seem like a more luxe item. I personally have never heard of this brand, but I would be interested in trying more pieces because the quality on this piece is good for the price. I’m also just really glad to see a ring in this box, since I think we were all expecting some sort of jewelry item. What Valentine’s box would be complete without a little bling?

Very dainty and pretty! We actually got an arrow necklace in our February box from last year, so I think it’s a nice matching theme.

The size is quite small–the only fingers that fit it are my ring finger (just barely) and my pinky. But based on what I’m reading, it’s also intended to be used as a midi ring, so I think for most people it should work. For reference, I usually wear a size 6 for my ring finger and this was a tight fit as a regular ring.

Tilo Heart Print Scarf | $125.00
Absolutely love this scarf. It’s such an easy color to pair with and the scarf is lightweight enough to wear in spring weather. I’m so glad that they chose a light grey color instead of a pink or red one, since I think this is perfect for Valentine’s Day but also neutral enough any other time of the year. It doesn’t seem tacky or over the top. The material is really soft and drapes beautifully. I have nothing but great things to say about Tilo scarves. Glad to be adding another one to my collection!

It’s kind of hard to tell in the photo, but the middle of the scarf (right side of the photo) has fewer hearts and the heart pattern increases as it gets towards the ends (left side). It forms sort of a heart gradient, which I think makes the scarf so pretty!

Fringe Studio Hello Beautiful Square Tray | $14.00
Another beautifully packaged item. I’m loving that so many components of this box are individually boxed and ready for gifting! This tray measures 4″ x 4″, making it a great dish for jewelry or cosmetics. Lord knows I have a ton of little samples rolling around on my counter that could use a tray to keep it all contained. #hoardingproblems, anyone?

How gorgeous is this design? I love the colors and the hand-lettering; I think it’s totally on trend right now. I can never seem to have enough trinket dishes and little trays in my home, and I like that this one is made of glass which is easy to clean.

Beautycounter Nourishing Cleansing Balm | $50.00
This brand is new to me, but it seems to have great reviews from people who are very ingredient-conscious. It’s good to know that this is a company that takes ingredients very seriously and formulates without parabens, synthetic fragrances, and a bunch of other things. (Can you tell that I’m not really an expert on skincare?) Even though parabens and that sort of thing doesn’t really matter to me, it still is nice to know that this company uses quality materials and holds itself to a high standard. The full size usually sells for $80, so I’m guessing this is a special size for POPSUGAR subscribers. Each box also came with a unique 20% off coupon for your next purchase.

It comes with a muslin cloth and plastic scooper. You massage the balm onto your skin and remove it with the damp muslin cloth. I’ve only used it once since I just got my box today, but it took off all my makeup and felt really gentle. Fingers crossed that my skin will get along with this balm and I continue getting good results!

Foodstirs Heart Cookie Mix | $12.95
Yay for unhealthy food! I know I really should be eating healthier and avoiding cookies and all that, but this is a subscription box! It’s a little bit of indulgence every month that should be guilt-free. Treat. Yo. Self. Speaking of guilt free, all the mixes from Foodstirs are free of artificial ingredients, GMOs, and preservatives.

This kit is so adorable! It comes with cookie mix, pink sugar sprinkles, and a heart cookie cutter. And did y’all notice it came packaged in a cloth bag? Love it.

Victoria’s Secret Coconut Milk Hydrating Body Lotion | $18.00
It’s been a while since I’ve purchased any body products from VS, but I have heard nothing but great things about this one. It doesn’t have an overpowering scent like some of the VS lotions I’ve tried in the past. This one smells like coconut but it’s pleasant and fades relatively fast, and the lotion absorbs quickly. I’m surprised and impressed with the changes that VS has made to their beauty line!

Victoria’s Secret Sport Socks | $4.92
This is a “special extra”, so it was most likely sponsored by Victoria’s Secret. I could always use more socks and I have never tried anything from the VS athletic line, so I thought this was a nice little promotion.

Victoria’s Secret Reward Card | $20.00
Another “special extra” from Victoria’s Secret. I love that it actually works like a real gift card. There’s no minimum purchase and you can redeem it in stores or online. There’s plenty of stuff that can be found for less than $20 at Victoria’s Secret, so you won’t have to spend any money to use the card. Expires on March 31st.

POPSUGAR Must Have February 2016 Box Review

This box has an insane retail value, coming to a total of $272.87!! Not only is the retail value great, but I think the curation is extremely on point and nothing feels like a filler item. I can see why each item was chosen and the feel of the entire box just screams Valentine’s Day and indulgence to me. It really cheered me up, which I think is the number one reason we all subscribe to these boxes in the first place! Definitely felt like a lovely little gift to myself. This is definitely one of my favorite boxes from POPSUGAR thus far.

Another part that I love is that almost everything came in ready-to-gift packaging! I bought extra boxes to gift to my friends for Galentine’s Day and I think I might go ahead and order another one just to have small gifts on hand for future events. You never know when you suddenly need something small for a coworker’s birthday or whatnot, and I love having a stash of gifts for these “emergencies”.

If this box is as perfect for you as it is for me, grab it while you can! Boxes are still for sale right now (but I’m guess it won’t last long). Use code REFER5 to get $5 off.
